Dr. Megan Houseknecht ("House"+"neck")

Hi! I am a psychologist with 20 years of experience working with youth and families in San Diego (including Rady Children's Hospital). I obtained my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, and completed my doctorate in clinical psychology and residency in child trauma in Los Angeles. I teach strategies for emotional resilience and coping confidence and promote healing from traumatic experiences. I aim to inspire faith, hope for recovery, and renewed love for yourself and your body. I help survivors of human trafficking, including as an international safe house trainer and board member with Finding Freedom International. A portion of my practice is devoted to residents of a local safe house, GenerateHope. I am also the owner of a small family farm, First Fruits Farm!
